When we got into financial trouble, we weren’t sure what to do. Our parents wouldn’t help us; they said we had to learn to stand on our own. However, we were bad at standing on our own, and we fell quite quickly. With over $10,000 on our credit cards, we were sunk. However, a friend recommended we go to Christian credit counseling. I didn’t want to at first; I was afraid they would preach at us or something. But they didn’t preach at all. They simply helped us get back on our feet… and they did it for free!
