Trying to figure out how the stock market works for the first time is hard. The stock market for dummies has a ton of confusing words and terminology and if you listen to the experts on TV it almost sounds like they are talking a different language. The best thing to do is to go to the library and get a book on investing. Any good beginners book will go over all the stock market terms and slang thus getting you started being able to understand. Getting familiar with the stock market is not something you are going to do overnight. It might take you many years understanding all the nuances of investing in stocks so you mustn’t become discouraged right away.
