Don’t be Swayed into Buying a Wrinkle Cream just because of its Brand

A good brand of beauty products is Olay. It has a lot of creams that provide good effects to its users. A cream that is under the Olay brand is the Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream. This cream claims to be very good when it comes to eliminating wrinkles from the face and making the skin smoother.
The main effect of the Wrinkle Smoothing Cream is said to smooth out the texture of your skin so that the skin will be nice and soft to touch. It accomplishes this by evening out the size of the cells so that smaller cells may become larger so that the skin will become more even and have a regular surface.
Some of the ingredients of Olay that makes it do this action is vitamin B3. This vitamin is needed in lipid synthesis as well as energy production of the body. Lipids will make the skin more elastic and help it retain moisture. Energy is of course needed by the body to repair any damages that it may incur.
This cream also prevent a process called glycation through the ingredient called carnosine. Glycation is a process that causes the skin to become thinner and cause it to form wrinkles faster. By inhibiting this process, skin will be able to look younger longer.
Peptides and elastin are also some ingredients present in this cream. These are also useful in terms of improving the skin as these will stimulate cell regeneration as well as making the skin more elastic. By repairing the skin more efficiently, blemishes will be further reduced from the skin.
One claim that Olay makes is that this cream has undergone clinical testing and provided promising results. Unfortunately, they did not post these results which will make some people doubt this claim. Also, it did not receive very good testimonials from its users so it does not seem that it has a good chance of providing the results that you want.
Just because Olay is a well known brand when it comes to beauty products, it does not mean that all of its products will be very good and live up to its claims. The Wrinkle Smoothing Cream is an example of a cream that people may buy because of its brand, but its effects may not be very good.
So the next time that you will buy a new wrinkle cream, be sure that you do your homework and check out the various customer testimonials and reviews of a cream. You may buy a cream because of its name but it might not be better than other lesser known and cheaper creams on the market.
