Walking is a workout just about anyone can do. Afterall, humans have been walking from the time they started to move on two legs. It’s what our bodies are built for making it some of the easiest and most effective workouts.
All you need is a pair of comfortable shoes to start your walking workout. Start by taking a stroll through your neighborhood, a local park or even the mall. If you don’t want to venture outside, get a treadmill or just walk in place while you watch tv.
As your body gets used to your walking workouts step up the intesity by walking a little faster or chosing a route that includes some hills. Your walking workout is very flexible. You can make it as easy or challenging as you want to.
