There Is No Such Thing As A Natural Cure For Depression

Let’s make this perfectly clear: if you are facing depression you need to see a doctor. And you need to see him or her asap. Not next week, not tomorrow, but today. Depression is a serious illness and needs serious medical attention.
And before we go on, there is one more thing I want you to understand: there is no such thing as a Natural Cure For Depression.
Having said all that, It’s also obvious that you don’t have to leave everything up to the professionals. There is a lot you can do yourself. Meditation and yoga for example. And what about a change in your diet? Mother Nature herself provides some great, natural anti-depressants. A number of herbs, like basil leaves for instance, are known to help to chase away the blues. Before you make any changes to your diet, talk to your doctor. It may affect your medication.
Fighting depression also requires some self discipline. One of the most common but not so known signs of depression is a disturbed sleeping pattern. Make sure you get plenty of sleep. And as important: make sure you get at least a couple of hours of sleep before midnight. You mother was right when she told you each pre-midnight hour of sleep counts for two.
Again, there is no natural cure for depression. But there are some natural remedies that can help you get better. But only –and I can’t stress this enough– if you consult your doctor and follow his advice to the letter.
