Basement System Waterproofing Made Easy

Some people tell you to that in order to properly waterproof your basement, you will need to hire a contractor. I say that this is only true in maybe 5% of all cases where a basement is needed to be sealed. Otherwise, it’s just a matter of familiarizing yourself with different basement system waterproofing products on the market. Usually all you will need is a water sealant. In some cases, you may need a cement formula to fill in the cracks first before sealing them.

The only time I would consider hiring a contractor is when there is extreme water pressure on the outside of the walls that prevents you from patching and sealing the cracks.
