We should accept a debt management plans only if it can fulfill all our requirements. If we cannot pay the monthly payment which is needed by the debt management plan we should not enroll. Before we enroll ourselves in a debt management plan, we should make sure that we sign a contract with the agency and get everything including our payments in writing. We should read the contract carefully and check for any hidden fees. If they do not send the contract before we make the payment for the first month, we should ask for it or seek some other concern. We should be cautious that most of the debt management plans require us to avoid taking additional debts as well as revolving credit debts like credit cards and store charge accounts. We should thoroughly understand the terms and conditions of the debt management plan and make sure we follow them.
