Savoring Childhood Memories

My earliest childhood memories are those lazy days of summer spent with my grandparents at their home in the country. It was truly for a child the best of times with their front porch and the many antique pieces of furniture that reminded me of these two people who I loved deeply. When it came time for them to relocate closer to the city, it meant downsizing and I was given their dry sink. The lovely pine wood had a beautiful patina due to age and it became one of the bathroom cabinets when I remodeled the master bath in my home. On the top, there is an antique white ironstone water pitcher and wash basin that maintains the period of the piece.
