Paying My Way Through Volunteer Work

I am interested in doing some travelling around the world. However, I can’t really afford to spend much. I am wondering if I could find some volunteer opportunities that would provide me with room and board (if not airfare) so that I could afford to spend some time in a few different countries. I would love to spend a few weeks at a time so that I really have an opportunity to see how things are in the different countries that I visit. I was thinking it would be nice to volunteer somewhere in Central America, somewhere in Africa, and somewhere in Asia.
