DIFFERENT THERAPY USED FOR KIDS
February 22nd, 2012 by admin
There is an interesting type of therapy that is being practiced by a particular therapist who believes that people who are considered geeks need to be given therapeutic lessons in how to act normally in society because they are often treated badly because of their interest in things like science fiction and video games. This particular therapist will quiz her patience on various issues and will also ask them questions to determine just how geeky they are. And while it might seem odd that therapy sessions might be specially designed for geeky people, apparently the people who are undergoing such therapeutic sessions are enjoying them so far.
Although the specific type of therapy isn’t a standard sort of meeting which someone might find while visiting a Great Neck NY counseling service, the results of such styles of therapy are resulting in an expansion of various types of therapeutic options for individuals who might not be quite sure how to handle therapy sessions due to the fact that they are extremely introverted.
There are a lot of stories from the kids so far that have taken part in such therapeutic sessions and there are apparently a very wide number of personalities involved and not all the geeky kids are boys either with a significant number of those in therapy actually being girls as well. One aspect of personalities that the therapist who is running the sessions has found is that the kids who are participating often don’t really care what other people think and that this is a unique feeling for many kids who are often quite dependent on what others might think of them.
